Jodie Brickson

Ever since Jodie was a child, she enjoyed all things creative. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Design Communications with a minor in Illustration in 1993. Jodie’s inspiration is found in her strong faith in God and love of nature. She has been blessed in many ways through her art as she has traveled over the years as a military spouse creating custom art for people in places such as Germany, New York, Kansas, North Carolina, to name a few. She moved to Petal in 2010 with her husband Drew and their two children. 

Since moving to Mississippi, she has continued her work as an artist, contributing artistically to many organizations and projects in the area. She was honored to be chosen as the artist for the Center for Families and Children’s Backyard Bus. It was a joy to be involved with a project that impacts and inspires so many in the community she now calls home.

She has recently added jewelry design to her repertoire, using natural elements, found objects, and repurposed items like driftwood, bamboo, and bark.
