Libby is the founding member of the Petal Arts Council. She is a retired Administrative
Assistant for the Petal School District in the Special Education Department. Libby has been passionately encouraging and supporting the arts for many years, and is dedicated to creating an accessible and vibrant cultural landscape for all to enjoy.

Jodie, a professional artist with a BFA in Design Communication and Illustration. Jodie is dedicated to advancing art in the community through fundraising projects and arts programming. She also manages the innovative Petal Arts Trail. Jodie specializes in 2D Art and Jewelry Design.

Debbie is the Secretary of the Petal Arts Council and a paralegal at a local law firm and brings her legal expertise to her role in the Council. Debbie has a background in directing Children’s Choirs and has performed with local community choirs and Meistersingers. She brings her passion for the arts and music to her role in the Council, and is committed to helping the organization reach its goals. 

Heather currently serves as the Treasurer for the Petal Arts Council.  She brings over 30 years of accounting experience.  As a longtime resident and supporter of the arts in the community, she is excited to be a small part of the council.  She looks forward to working with the board on upcoming projects as well as watching the arts in the community grow and flourish.

Sandra is a retired respiratory therapist who dedicated 42 years to caring for patients and improving lives through healthcare.  Following her retirement, she joined the Petal Arts Council to pursue her lifelong love of the arts and to support the organization's mission of enriching the community through cultural engagement.

Brent is the Digital Strategy Director and has an appreciation of the creative arts and a strong understanding of the industry. He has 15 years of experience in audio engineering and music production. As an accomplished guitarist and active-duty military officer, Brent brings unique organizational and leadership skills to the board, Additionally, Brent is the owner of Blackbird Creations, a local business specializing in laser engraving and design. 

Brittany joins the board with a lifelong passion for creativity and a decade of experience as a muralist and painter.  She is the owner of The Art Cottage, a local studio where she teaches art to students of all ages.  Brittany holds a Bachelor's degree in History with education licensure; her teaching background and genuine love for people deeply shape her welcoming teaching style in the studio.  She is thrilled to join the council and looks forward to helping bring big, collaborative arts initiatives to life across Petal.
