Stephanie Birdwell

Stephanie Birdwell, a committed artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from William Carey University, channels her love for God's creation into her artwork. Stephanie centers her work around Christian themes, florals, and landscapes, with occasional forays into abstract art. Her philosophy - finding divine inspiration in every piece - serves as a catalyst for others to appreciate nature and their creative abilities.

Over a span of 12 years, Stephanie taught elementary art at Oak Park in Laurel, fostering creativity among budding artists. One of her significant contributions is a mural created with her students. Drawing inspiration from Jacob Lawrence, this work—featuring quotes from notable historical figures—holds a place of pride at the Laurel School District Superintendent building.

Stephanie’s influences are wide-ranging, from the Impressionists to her family, mentors, and other artists. Recently, she participated in a chair painting contest organized by the Hattiesburg Arts Council, further showcasing her dynamic involvement in the arts community.
